The Haitian American Association of Filmmakers

is a non-profit corporation officially registered in the United States.
Its principal mission is to promote and educate Haitian Filmmakers through showcasing, research and production assistance.

The first meeting of the association was held on Monday April 6, 2009.

The association is open to movie producers and/or directors who are either
Haitians, Haitian-Americans or Americans of Haitian descent.
Membership also requires the prior production and/or direction of a feature film.

Haitian musicians don't have one, neither do Haitian painters, sculptors, nor theatrical performers.
